Terms of Service
Effective: May 11, 2026 — Summit Cognitive, Inc.
Service description
Decision Receipt is an admissibility evaluation API operated by Summit Cognitive, Inc. The service evaluates claims submitted by users, generates cryptographically signed Decision Receipts, and provides verification endpoints.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the service in compliance with applicable laws and our Acceptable Use Policy. You are responsible for all data you submit through the API.
API keys
API keys are issued per email address. You are responsible for keeping your key secure. Do not share keys or embed them in client-side code. We may revoke keys that violate these terms or the AUP.
Service levels
Free tier: best-effort availability, 100 receipts/month. Pilot tier: 99.5% monthly uptime target, 10,000 receipts/month. Enterprise: custom SLA. We may rate-limit or suspend accounts exceeding their tier limits.
Intellectual property
You retain all rights to the data you submit. Decision Receipts generated by the service are yours to use, distribute, and verify. The Decision Receipt protocol, specification, and codebase are proprietary to Summit Cognitive, Inc.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is." Decision Receipts are admissibility evaluations, not legal certifications. Summit Cognitive is not liable for decisions made based on receipt outcomes. Maximum liability is limited to fees paid in the preceding 12 months.
Changes
We may update these terms with 30 days notice via email to registered users. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
